How it works
PowerFuse gives you the administrator simple options that allow you to give, remove or even enforce, Registry settings, Drive Mappings, Printers, Group Policies, Applications, Signatures, Mailbox Settings, Profile Settings, Environment Variables, Resource usage and much more. Each of the settings can be deployed to a user by a number of criteria. The criteria could be any of the following Location, Group, OU, Machine Name, Available Resource, Environmental Variable and many more.
RES PowerFuse is a powerful product that produces an easy environment to manage and even replicate if required. You can block or allow applications on a per user basis or by any of the criteria above.
One of the latest features of PowerFuse is a session based firewall. The session based firewall allows the administrator to dictate which users can access what servers via what ports using any of the criteria discussed earlier, increasing network security on a user level. Allowing TCP/IP port access to be set on a session level means that each user on a Terminal server, Citrix server or even a group of PC's can be treated differently without affecting the entire environment and having to build complex VLAN's.
Combining RES PowerFuse with RES Wisdom makes an unstoppable solution. Imagine a user clicking on a PDF document, but Adobe Acrobat Reader is not installed on the workstation. PowerFuse would then request Wisdom to install the application without the need of an administrator and allowing the user to continue working seamlessly.
