How it works

Wisdom has three different components, a Database, Dispatcher and an Agent. The agent is the machine that you wish to manipulate, be it a Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 2003. The dispatcher is a machine that (Dispatchers can be installed on agents) relays commands to the agent from the database, the dispatcher can also hold those commands until the agent is active. This allows for both a vast and efficient network to be built but also the use of RES Wisdom over a WAN connection. Please see the PDF for network diagrams

RES Wisdom can take any application and deploy it to any agent identically, be it an MSI, Batch, exe, etc. You can also invoke windows updates, Machine based registry, Remove or add files, turn on/off services, add/remove local users, add the machine to the Domain, install printers, and much more. Querys can be performed before a task is run to confirm that the agent has the available resource to complete the task.

Failed or completed tasks are logged allowing administrators to instantly access their query and even compare queries from one agent to another. Permissions can be set to allow helpdesk staff to run simple tasks and senior helpdesk staff access to other areas.
